Simply enter “Rakši ZOO” into your navigation app and follow the paved roads to reach us.

What ticket options are available?
At Rakši ZOO you can choose from:
- Rakši Small Journey (available on weekdays and weekends)
- Rakši Big Journey (available only on weekends)
- ZOO + Lemur Feeding (available only on weekdays)

Can tickets be purchased online?
Currently, tickets can only be purchased on-site.
Can I pay by card?
Yes, both cash and bank card payments are accepted.
Are family tickets available?
We do not offer special family tickets. However, holders of the Ģimenes+ Card receive a 10% discount.
Animals and Activities
What animals can be seen at the zoo?
You can meet:
camels, llamas, alpacas, lemurs, kangaroos, a zebra, a sloth, donkeys, goats, sheep, cows, parrots, emus, ostriches, gibbons, peacocks, guinea pigs, and rabbits.
Can visitors feed the animals?
Yes, animals may only be fed with food provided by Rakši ZOO.
Can visitors pet the animals?
Yes, some animals may be petted and touched while following staff instructions.
Are activities included in the ticket price?
Detailed information about included activities can be found in the ticket descriptions. Activities vary seasonally.
Visitor Comfort and Accessibility
Is the area suitable for children?
Yes, Rakši ZOO is family-friendly and suitable for safe recreation with children.
Is the area accessible with strollers?
Yes, the territory is adapted for convenient movement with baby strollers.
Is the zoo accessible for people with mobility impairments?
Yes, Rakši ZOO is also suitable for visitors with mobility impairments.
Rules
Are pets allowed?
No, pets are not allowed.
What happens if it rains?
In rainy weather, you can stay inside the cozy “Camel cafe” or the Korean BBQ restaurant “King Julian” and enjoy a meal. During rainy weather, lemur feeding takes place inside the Lemur House. Short rain showers can also be waited out under the picnic area shelter or on the café terrace.
Food and Relaxation
Is there a café on-site?
Yes, the Camel Park area features “Camel cafe”, while the Lemur Park area has the Korean BBQ restaurant “King Julian”.
Can visitors bring their own food?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food.
Are there picnic areas?
Yes, a free picnic area is available for visitors.
Does Rakši ZOO offer accommodation?
Yes, Rakši ZOO also has the “Rakši” Hotel, designed in Moroccan style to match the camel park theme. Room reservations are available on www.booking.com.
Events and Services
Are guided tours available?
Informational boards in Latvian and English are placed near the animal enclosures throughout Rakši ZOO, providing information about the animals. Separate guided tour services are not available.

Are seasonal events organized?
Yes, seasonal events are organized regularly. Follow our social media pages for updates.
Are souvenirs available?
Yes, during the active season Rakši ZOO has 3 souvenir shops (1 shop is open during winter), offering souvenirs from different countries as well as locally made products produced specially for SIA Rakši.
